2025 American Advertising Awards: A Night to Remember: Glitz, Glamour, and Creative Genius


Last Saturday night, the WJCT Studios transformed into a vibrant celebration of Jacksonville's advertising excellence. The 2025 American Advertising Awards Gala brought together the boldest and brightest minds in our local creative scene for an unforgettable evening of recognition, networking, and yes—plenty of champagne toasts!

This year's "Bold City Creativity" theme perfectly captured Jacksonville's unique advertising spirit. From the moment guests arrived at the red carpet, it was clear this wasn't your ordinary industry event. Creative professionals were ready to celebrate a year of outstanding work.

Heartfelt Moments: Honoring a Legend

The evening featured a moving tribute to Jorge Burnet-Garcia, co-founder of Burnet-Garcia and influential figure in Jacksonville's advertising community who passed away late last year. Aerien Mull of ForsMarsh shared personal stories and lessons learned working with Burnet-Garcia, whose agency won over 375 ADDYs throughout its history. His philosophy of "Lead the business with your heart and not your wallet" and commitment to creativity regardless of project size left a lasting impact on Jacksonville's advertising landscape.

More Than Just Trophies

As the evening wound down and winners posed for photos with their shiny new ADDY trophies, it became clear that this night was about more than just awards. It was about celebrating a community that pushes boundaries, thinks differently, and supports each other's success.
